Newport Centre Dining Pavilion Nears Completion
Simon's Newport Centre announced that its brand new contemporary Dining Pavilion is nearing completion.

Simon’s Newport Centre today announced that its multi-million dollar project that is transforming the existing food area into a brand new contemporary Dining Pavilion is nearing completion. And with it marks the start of a celebration of special activities that includes a ribbon-cutting ceremony, children’s entertainment, chances to win free meals and discount retailer offers.
“This renovation has created a whole new look that greatly enhances the dining experience for visitors to the shopping center,” said Newport Centre General Manager Jeremy Strife. “We’re excited to have watched the Dining Pavilion come to life over the past several months and in the coming weeks we look forward to celebrating its completion with the public.”
From now through the end of November, shoppers can enter to win free meals from a number of Newport Centre’s Dining Pavilion eateries. To be eligible, simply fill out an Enter to Win form and drop it off at the display set up by the Office Tower mall entrance. Winners will be selected each week and notified to receive their voucher for a free complimentary lunch from among Johnny Rockets, My Kitchen, Red Mango, Qdoba, Sbarro, Taste of India and Thali.

On consecutive Wednesday evenings November 5 and November 12 from 5 to 7 p.m., children will be treated to face painters, balloon sculptors and magicians performing at their tables as they enjoy dinner in the Dining Pavilion. A photo booth offering free photos to commemorate the experience with friends and family will be available as well. Also on November 5 and November 7, coupons featuring special offers from Dining Pavilion eateries will be handed out at various locations around the mall. In addition, shoppers who present Dining Pavilion receipts totaling $35 or more between 5 to 7 p.m. will receive a complimentary Hudson Bergen Light Rail Ticket, while supplies last.
A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially recognize the Dining Pavilion’s completion will take place on Saturday, November 8 at 12:30 p.m. Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop will be joined by other dignitaries along with members of the Hudson County Boys & Girls Club for this special event.

The six-month renovation, which allowed the existing eateries to remain operational throughout the duration of the project, has resulted in the addition of a number of pleasing amenities that includes:
- New counters, sinks, and touchless fixtures in the men’s, women’s and family restrooms.
- New and expanded variety of seating areas.
- A greater diversity of lighting fixtures and enhanced natural light.
- Reconfiguration among the existing eateries to create more open space and improved sight lines.
- New column finishes and flooring accents.
