SUN, 9/21: Pre-People's Climate March Breakfast with Fort Greene Peace!

In September, world leaders are coming to NYC for a UN summit on the climate crisis. UN Secretary­ General Ban Ki-­moon is urging governments to support an ambitious global agreement to dramatically reduce global warming pollution.

With our future on the line and the whole world watching, we will take a stand to bend the course of history. We will take to the streets to demand the world we know is within our reach: a world with an economy that works for people and the planet; a world safe from the ravages of climate change; a world with good jobs, clean air and water, and healthy communities.

To change everything, we need everyone on board at the People’s Climate March on Sunday, September 21!

Join the Fort Greene Peace and Brooklyn For Peace contingent at the People’s Climate March! Everyone is welcome to join us! We will have signs.

Join Fort Greene Peace for a local pre-march breakfast meet-up. RSVP to fortgreenepeace@gmail.com so we can get enough food.

9:15 am: Meet at Fowler Square-the intersection of Lafayette Ave, Fulton St. & So. Elliott Pl. in Fort Greene.
We’ll then travel together to join the Peace & Justice Contingent assembling at 77St. & Central Park West.

In Manhattan: From 9 to 11:30 a.m., people will assemble north of Columbus Circle, along Central Park West from 60th Street to 86th Street. Specific contingents (e.g., Peace and Justice, Anti-Frackers, etc.) will be assigned specific blocks for assembly. We are meeting at 77th St. and CPW.

11:30 am: March begins!

End of March wrap-up on 11th Ave between 34th and 38th St.
