100 Black Men of Eastern N.Y., Inc. Let's Talk About It Breaking Down Barriers to Health Care

New York, New York - On April 19th, 2023 the 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc. will be presenting the first in a series of events called “Let’s Talk About It.” The first event will be comprised of a panel of distinguished members of the 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc. and the panel is appropriately named “Let’s talk About It Mental Health” Breaking Down Barriers To Mental Health Care.

Black Males, Trauma, and Mental Health Service Use: A Systematic Review
Exposure to trauma, whether through witnessing or direct victimization, is often a daily reality for many Black males. Findings from this review suggest that 56-74% of Black males exposed to traumatic events may have an unmet need for mental health services.
