• 3, Including Teen With Smoke Inhalation, Rescued From Baldwin Fire: Report (patch.com) — Freeport firefighters were among roughly 120 responders called to an eight-alarm house fire in nearby Baldwin early Saturday, where three people, including a teen with smoke inhalation, were rescued. The blaze on McKinley Street drew departments from several Nassau communities after a smoke detector woke the family, highlighting the importance of working alarms for Freeport-area homes.
