Brooks To Hold Latino Town Hall Meeting This Week
A translator will be on hand to help residents express their concerns to their state senator.

State Sen. John Brooks is sponsoring a Latino Town Hall Community Meeting this week for residents of Freeport and from all over his district.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, Jan. 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Freeport Bible Center, located at 50 North Main Street in Freeport.
Brooks wants to hear constituents' concerns and questions and to provide legislative updates and news on other issues. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and express concerns about issues of importance to the Latino community from a panel representing various agencies and organizations. Spanish-English language translation will be provided.

Those in attendance will include Nassau County Department of Social Services Commissioner John Imhof; Nassau County Department of Social Services Deputy Commissioner Paul Broderick; Nassau County Department of Social Services Director of Medicaid Marjorie Krohn; Long Island Housing Services Inc. Community Outreach/Media Coordinator Ana Elena Poppe; Empire Justice Center Senior Paralegal/Community Advocate Cheryl Keshner; and LICIL Director of Hispanic Outreach Services Osman Canales.
