College Signing Day for Roosevelt High School Students
Roosevelt High School Seniors Announce College Choice and Sign College Destination Banner

Roosevelt High School senior students sign a giant golden banner dressed in apparel from the college or university they will be attending in the Fall of 2017. The students were participating in a recent assembly at which they announced their schools of choice.
The Roosevelt School District recently announced the college destinations for seniors during an assembly at Roosevelt High School. More than 150 students at Roosevelt High School, parents and administrators celebrated the success of college-bound seniors as they embark on the next step in their educational journey. Seniors came to school dressed in apparel from the college or university they will be attending in the Fall of 2017 and signed a giant gold banner to share their college destinations and offer each other encouragement.
“The District wholeheartedly supports students’ decision to pursue a college education and is proud of these seniors for their success,” said Roosevelt School District Superintendent Dr. Marnie Hazelton “These students’ acceptance to universities across the region and nation speaks to the outstanding quality of their Roosevelt School District education.”

District administrators personally congratulated students on their scholastic accomplishments, and discussed each student’s unique contributions to academic programs during their tenures at Roosevelt High School. Universities students will be attending include New York University, Pennsylvania State University, the State University of New York at Old Westbury, New England College, Pace University, Monmouth College, Stony Brook University, Long Island University Post, John Jay College and many more.
“We are extraordinarily proud of our college-bound seniors, and are excited to watch them reach great heights as they pursue post-secondary education,” said Roosevelt High School Principal Broderick Spencer. “Every Roosevelt High School student is provided with the tools of success, and we look forward to watching these rising stars as they meet and exceed their future goals.”
