Construction Worker Injured In Accident Dies
The two men fell 25 feet after the scaffolding they were standing on broke, police said. One of them has died.
UPDATE, 6 P.M.: Police say that the 18-year-old construction worker has died from his injuries.
Police identified him as Alberto Mejia-Montoya, of Hempstead.
ORIGINAL STORY: Two construction workers were injured, one seriously, after an accident at a construction site in Freeport Monday afternoon.

According to Nassau police, while working at the site on South Bayview Avenue, two men fell after the scaffolding they were standing on broke. The men fell 25 feet to the ground. One of them, an 18-year-old man, suffered a skull fracture and multiple life-threatening injuries. The second man, 30, suffered a minor injury to his shoulder.
Both men were taken to a nearby hospital.
