FREEPORT, NY — A man was killed when a car crashed into the water on Tuesday afternoon, police confirmed.

It happened at around 1:30 p.m when police got a call that a car went into the water near Cow Meadow Park in Freeport.

Freeport Mayor Robert Kennedy said several joggers saw a car doing donuts on the grass, ABC7 said.
