Drunk Man Arrested After Claiming To Have Gun: Police
An officer was injured in the foot pursuit and arrest of Raul Flores, police said.

ROOSEVELT, NY — A Freeport man was arrested on Wednesday afternoon for assault.
Officers responded to a 911 call for an intoxicated man at So Good Deli on Nassau Road.
The man told officers he had a pistol as he motioned toward his waistband, police said.

He ignored officers' commands to stop as he fled east on Clinton Avenue, detectives said.
During a foot pursuit, Raul Flores, 24, was taken into custody a short time later, police said.

An officer suffered a knee injury during the arrest and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Flores was expected to be arraigned on Thursday, facing charges that include second-degree assault and third-degree menacing, according to police.
