Duo Rob Man at Knifepoint

The robbery occurred on Wednesday morning.

FREEPORT, NY - Two men robbed a 36-year-old man at knifepoint in Freeport on Wednesday morning, according to Nassau Police.

The man was walking on Lillian Avenue at about 12:13 a.m. when he was approached by the duo.

The noticed one of the men was armed with a knife and tried to run away but the two tackled him to the ground and stole cash and an ID card, police said.

They then fled the scene southbound on Jay Street. No injuries were reported.

The first robber is described as 5-foot-10, 170 pounds, wearing black hooded sweatshirt, red colored sneakers and armed with a knife, police said.

The second robber is described as 5-foot-10, wearing blue hooded sweatshirt and black colored sneakers, police said.
