Freeport High School Names Top 10 Students From Class Of 2022

FREEPORT, NY — Freeport High School students were given a surprise announcement from Principal Gisselle Campbell-Ham.

She shared the list of the Class of 2022 Top 10 students.

Each student's name of given with their rank:

1. Valedictorian Elise Smith
2. Salutatorian Karina Rios
3. Vanessa Mendoza
4. Keyla Romero
5. Sameerah Lawal
6. Brenna Igneri
7. Bryant Pena
8. Gilbert Rosario Acevedo
9. Arianna Martinez
10. Jillian Igneri

"Your hard work, discipline and dedication have paid off," Campbell-Ham said in a statement. "I am excited to learn what’s to come as you move into your next chapter. Remember, we will cheer you on for life."

The students took part in a breakfast reception where they shared their hopes for college that include Columbia University, Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. They are pursuing careers in biology, chemistry/physics, medicine and psychology.
