Students from Freeport High School’s Advanced Placement Government and U.S. History classes recently visited Assemblyman Brian Curran (Lynbrook-21st A.D.) during their visit to the Capitol in Albany. The assemblyman discussed education funding, the tax cap and ways to move our state forward.
“My favorite part of this job is getting to meet with our young people to hear their concerns and discuss solutions to issues that face our town,” said Curran. “They are exceptionally bright and I believe that the future of our town, Long Island and the entire state is in good hands. I especially appreciate how concerned our students are about their school receiving adequate funding to support their educational goals, and that they are in-tune with the budget process and how it affects them. I encourage more of our students to visit us in Albany, and I am looking forward to the next visit.”
