Freeport Mayor Lands A Real Whopper
The mayor landed himself a 13.5 pound fluke on a recent fishing trip.

Freeport Mayor Robert Kennedy reeled himself in a real whopper of a fluke, snagging a 13.5 pound fish in the Atlantic.
According to Kennedy, fluking is increasing in popularity all over the South Shore, including in Reynolds Channel. The mayor is an avid fisherman.
"Freeporters have a long, proud tradition of fishing for fluke," he said. "And they really are a staple for not just Freeporters, but all Long Islanders with a rod and reel."
