Freeport School Board Member Arrested For DWI: Cops

Police say he hit two parked cars and drove away, but was stopped almost immediately. See video of the crash inside the article.

A Freeport Board of Education member was arrested on Wednesday and charged with DWI after police say he hit two parked cars in the village.

According to Newsday, Anthony Miller, 36, the vice president of the Board of Education, collided with two parked cars on North Ocean Avenue just before 5:30 a.m. He drove off, but was stopped shortly by Freeport police. No one was injured.

Miller was charged with DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation, driving with a suspended registration and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
