Freeport Student Charged In Knife Slashing Of Another Student: Police

FREEPORT, NY — A 15-year-old Freeport High School student will face a judge after being accused of slashing a 14-year-old fellow student with a boxcutter during a fight Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The 14-year-old male victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening and the 15-year-old is facing charges of assault and possession of a dangerous weapon, authorities said.
The 15-year-old male student was scheduled to face a judge Thursday, police said.
