Freeport Student Honored for Her Art
Had her work displayed at the Long Island Children's Museum.

Freeport High School sophomore Ninoska Lugo-Aquino placed second in her division in the 2016 Arts Alive Long Island Poster Contest, which featured 200 submissions from 125 districts.
Lugo-Aquino received a certificate of participation signed by Regent Roger Tilles at an awards ceremony attended by members of the Freeport Public School District Art Department and Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kishore Kuncham in September. She also had her poster framed by Long Island Picture Framers and displayed at the Long Island Children’s Museum through October in celebration of National Arts and Humanities month.
This was the first time Freeport High School has participated in the contest, and the district extends its congratulations to Aquino for her outstanding artwork.
