Freeport's Very Own Ninja Warriors at Giblyn
Students learned the importance of physical activity, and had lots of fun doing it.
The Leo F. Giblyn School was transformed into an obstacle course of fun and friendly competition as it hosted family sports night for its staff members, students and their families.
This year’s theme was “American Ninja Warrior Challenge,” based on the television series, and featured a wide variety of physical activities such as rock-climbing, rope-swinging, and wiggling through hula hoops and tents.
While most of the activities were set up in the gymnasium, there was fun to be had all around the school as the hallways also featured various challenges. Students prepared for the obstacle course by training in their gym classes.
