Girl Scouts of Nassau County Walk Their Cookie Box Creations Down the Runway at Westfield Sunrise Mall
Troop 1014 of Freeport showcased their cookie designs in the Girl Scouts of Nassau County's "Cookie Creations Cookie Box Fashion Show."

Freeport, NY (February 14, 2017) – More than 50 young Girl Scouts of Nassau County recently walked the runway at Westfield Sunrise Mall in Massapequa during their “Cookie Creations Cookie Box Fashion Show.” Members of the Girl Scout Brownie Troop 1014 from Freeport were among participants who had an hour to design a creation out of empty Girl Scout Cookie® boxes and add a few embellishments before modeling their original piece of clothing and/or an accessory down the runway.
The event coincides with the start of Girl Scout Cookie® booth sales not only in Westfield Sunrise Mall, but in locations throughout Nassau County.
2017 marks the 100th year of Girl Scouts selling cookies. Over the past century, Troops have learned the five skills needed in both life and business: goal setting, decision making, money management, business ethics, and people skills.
