GSNC Elects Roosevelt Resident to Board of Directors
Belinda Hill elected to Girl Scouts of Nassau County Board of Directors

Garden City, NY (MAY 2023)— Girl Scouts of Nassau County announced today that Roosevelt resident Belinda Hill has been elected to the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Board of Directors through 2025. Hill was one of 17 board members who were sworn in during the organization’s 58th Annual Meeting, which was held at the Ruth S. Harley University Center on the Adelphi University campus. The Girl Scouts of Nassau County Board of Directors comprises lifelong Girl Scouts, community leaders, and nonprofit and corporative executives who provide leadership, innovation and constant support to the Girl Scouts of Nassau County council.
“Girl Scouts of Nassau County is proud to have such prestigious and accomplished members on its Board of Directors to inspire and empower our Girl Scouts,” said Randell Bynum, Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Nassau County. “I am confident that this group of leaders will help cultivate the Girl Scout experience and help fulfill our mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.”
The Girl Scouts of Nassau County board of directors provide strategic leadership and work collaboratively to build courage, confidence, and character in Nassau County girls. They will also help raise vital funds to expand access to Girl Scout experiences that socially, academically and emotionally empower girls throughout our community.

This is Belinda Danielle Hill’s first term as a member of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Board of Directors. She is a digital media professional with over a decade of experience at NBC Universal. After making a successful career in entertainment and live events, she transitioned to digital news, but her passion still lies in creating memorable special event experiences. A proud graduate of Virginia State University in Petersburg, VA, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. She has always been passionate about giving back to her community and was a former member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America while on campus. Belinda is also a 25-year and Life Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts, following in the footsteps of her older sisters, with her two nieces to soon follow suit. Beyond her professional achievements, Belinda is a passionate and creative artist with a specialty in 1:6 scale miniature designs. She is the creator of Shari and Sharon’s World, a popular Barbie lifestyle social media account, and has a strong social media presence with many followers of all ages. Belinda’s creative talents are timeless, and she uses them to enrich the lives of others. She designs a range of products under her own brand, bdhCreates, including doll rooms, customized pillows, clothing, and all sorts of customized gifts items.
