Home Invaders Hold Residents At Gunpoint While Searching LI House
Police say they tied up a man and forced an woman onto the ground, and held them there at gunpoint.
Two people were held at gunpoint during a home invasion in Freeport Friday night, Nassau Police say.
According to police, a 31-year-old man was outside his home when he saw two men walking up the driveway. He approached them, and both men pulled out handguns and ordered him inside the home.
Once inside, the man was tied up and told to lie on the living room floor. One of the burglars forced his way into a bedroom and led out a 51-year-old woman, whom he also told to lie on the floor. One of the men stayed with the two victims while the other searched the home for cash, police said.

While the two burglars were searching the house, a 41-year-old man who lived there came home and saw both of the victims on the floor. He immediately ran to a neighbor's house and called police. The two burglars fled on foot in an unknown direction.
The burglars were wearing all black clothes and ski masks. The victims were not injured, and nothing was reported stolen.
