Police: Human Remains Found In Nassau Park
Federal and state officers were searching the area Wednesday morning. It's the second time in a week they've uncovered remains.

Human remains have been found by state troopers, FBI and Homeland Security agents during a search of Cow Meadow Park in Freeport Wednesday morning, Nassau County police confirmed.
According to Newsday, the officers arrived at the park shortly after 8 a.m. and closed it to the public.
"Nassau County police are assisting the FBI with an investigation with what are believed to be human remains found in the park," a Nassau County Police Department spokeswoman said.

State police confirmed that they brought dogs to the scene, and they are trained, among other things, to sniff out bodies.

Representatives from the FBI and Homeland Security could not be reached for comment.
