Knife-Wielding Man Robbed Nassau Gas Station

Police are searching for the the man, who robbed the station early Monday morning.

Nassau police are searching for a man who robbed a Freeport gas station at knifepoint early Monday morning.

According to police, the man entered the Mobil Gas Station, located at 199 East Sunrise Highway, just before 12:45 a.m. He approached an employee, pulled out a large kitchen knife and demanded cash.

The employee, a 54-year-old man, gave the robber the money, and he then fled the scene. No one was injured.

The robber was about 5 feet, 9 inches tall. He was wearing all black clothing, including a black hooded sweatshirt and a black mask covering his face.

Police ask anyone with information about this robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous, and you could receive a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.
