Long Island Company Selling Plant; All Employees To Get Laid Off
North Shore Linen will shut its plants by Feb. 24, 2022.

FREEPORT, NY — North Shore Linen, which started as a residential and commercial laundromat 30 years ago, and grew into a premier linen and uniform rental service, is laying off all of its employees.
All 111 workers will be impacted due to the company permanently closing its plants on Rider Place and Hanse Avenue in Freeport. The state Department of Labor WARN Notice indicates the plants will shut by Feb. 24, 2022 from an impending sale.
As posted on the North Shore Linen website, in 2012 they opened a second plant in Freeport. The same year, they "endured the wrath of Hurricane Sandy. Although hit hard by the storm, it only served to strengthen our resolve service our community."
