Man Fatally Shot In Freeport; No Arrests Yet: Nassau Police

FREEPORT, NY — A man was killed by gunfire in Freeport on Friday afternoon, Nassau police said.

The 28-year-old victim, identified by police as James Diamond of Long Beach, was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, detectives said.

Police responded to a call on South Bay Avenue near Ray Street.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made, according to police.
