Man Killed in Nassau County Shooting
It happened Wednesday afternoon near a high school, police say.
ROOSEVELT, NY - A man was killed in a shooting in Roosevelt on Wednesday afternoon, according to Nassau Police.
Officers responded to a 911 call for a man shot at about 3:45 p.m. outside 28 Wagner Avenue near Roosevelt High School.
The 37-year-old man who was shot was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a staff physician at 4:47 p.m., police said.

Police have not yet released the identity of the man.
No other injuries were reported.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the shooting to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
