Man Robbed at Gunpoint in Parking Lot of Nassau County Friendly's
The robbery occurred on Monday night, police say.
BALDWIN, NY - A man was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of the Friendly's restaurant in Baldwin on Monday night, according to Nassau Police.
A 32-year-old man was sitting in his girlfriend’s car in the parking lot of the restaurant at 955 Merrick Road and waiting for her to return when a man entered the back of the car, placed a handgun up to his head and demanded his money and gold chain, police said.
After complying with his demands, the robber exited the car and was last seen running through the parking lot and continuing north onto Central Avenue.

Seconds later, a white car with dark tinted windows that the man believes may have been the robber's car was seen driving at a high rate of speed down Central Avenue and turning westbound onto Merrick Road.
No injuries were reported.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
