Man in 'Serious Condition' After Assault

FREEPORT, NY - A 42-year-old man is in serious condition after he was assaulted in Freeport on Sunday afternoon, according to Nassau Police.

The man was discovered suffering from a head and face injury by 146 Main Street, police said.

After speaking to man, it was discovered he had been assaulted in the back of 124 Main Street by two unknown men, police said.

No further description was available.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where was admitted in serious condition, police said.
