Man Who Sold Drugs To Overdose Victim Arrested: Nassau Police

Police say the man sold the drugs that led to a Nassau resident's fatal overdose.

FREEPORT, NY — A Freeport man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after Nassau County police say an investigation tied him to a fatal drug overdose.

According to police, an investigation was started after the fatal drug overdose of a Freeport resident on Tuesday, June 2. During the investigation, police say it was found that Derek Stulsky, 37, of Church Street, was the dealer who sold the drugs to the victim.

Undercover detectives arranged to purchase heroin from Stulsky, police said. Once he had taken the cash, Stulsky was placed under arrest without incident, police said. Police say he did not have any drugs on him at the time of his arrest.

Stulsky is charged with third-degree attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance. He is scheduled to be arraigned later today.
