Nassau Man Charged With Attempted Murder in Halloween Shooting
BREAKING: The victim collapsed on the road in Freeport, but survived.

A Roosevelt man was charged with attempted murder after a gunshot victim collapsed in Freeport Monday night.
According to police, at 7:44 p.m. Monday, Nassau police officers received a “Shot Spotter” call at Jefferson Avenue in Roosevelt. A short time later, at 7:48 p.m., Freeport officers received a call for a man who collapsed on Babylon Turnpike and Woodside Avenue. The man had been shot, and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Rhyan Greene, 20, of Prospect Street, Roosevelt, was arrested at 11 p.m. in connection with the shooting. He is charged with second degree attempted murder and second degree criminal possession of a weapon.
