A Freeport man was arrested by Nassau County police on Thursday after officers said that an investigation revealed that he stabbed and kidnapped a Roosevelt woman in April.
According to police, Thomas Beeks, 32, of East Dean Street, got into an argument with a female acquaintance outside of her car on Oak Street in Roosevelt at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 14.
Police say Beeks pulled out a knife and stabbed the woman in the leg, then ordered her to drive to his house, where he then punched her in the eye and threatened her with scissors. A short time later, police say Beeks allowed the woman to drive to a hospital to get her injuries treated. Beeks fled the hospital in the woman's car, police say.
