Nassau Man Tried To Rape Woman At Knifepoint: Police
Police say he attacked her behind an apartment complex in broad daylight.

Nassau police arrested a Freeport man on Tuesday and charged him with attempted criminal sexual act after they say he attacked a woman last week.
According to police, a 44-year-old woman was walking alone in the rear of an apartment complex at 260 South Main St. at 11:30 a.m. on April 24 when she was approached from behind by Umari Taylor, 20, of Ocean Avenue North.
Police say Taylor demanded the woman take off her clothes, and a struggle ensued. Taylor pulled out a knife, police say, and pressed it against the woman's hip, and then put it against her throat and demand she take off her pants.
