Nassau Police Searching For Statue Thieves

Police say they stole valuable bronze sculptures from in front of a home.

The Nassau County Police Department is seeking the public's help to find whomever stole bronze sculptures worth thousands of dollars from a home in Freeport in October.

According to police, between 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19 and 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 21, someone stole four ornate bronze sculptures of men from the front of a home on South Long Beach Avenue. The sculptures are valued at between $15,000 and $20,000.

Police are asking anyone with information about this crime to call Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-244-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain confidential.
