Recycling Business Garbage Fire In Freeport: Reports
The Gershow Recycling Corporation is located at 143 Hanse Ave.
FREEPORT, NY — A fire was being reported on Friday afternoon in Freeport. According to Twitter's LI Fire Buff, and other witnesses, the fire started at the Gershow Recycling Corporation, located at 143 Hanse Ave in Freeport.
Photos show thick, black smoke filling the air, while firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze.
LI Fire Buff tweeted it was a large rubbish fire. There is no word of any injuries.
