Roosevelt High School Becomes Broadway for a Weekend
Elementary School Students Take the Stage for a Night of Theatrical Performances
Students from across all three elementary schools in the Roosevelt School District recently showcased their theatrical talents for the District’s “Roosevelt on Broadway” weekend at Roosevelt High School.
“Our students poured their dedication, passion and talents into performances of songs and scenes from their favorite Broadway shows,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Shawn Wightman. “We would like to congratulate all of our performers and thank our students, families, and staff members for creating such an exciting and inspiring event.”
The Roosevelt High School stage transformed into a Manhattan landscape that included a backdrop resembling Radio City Music Hall as students donned their costumes and sung, danced and acted out scenes from timeless classics and beloved musicals.
