Roosevelt High School JROTC Students Place in Top 3 of the Regional Academic/Leadership Championship

Each year students in the Roosevelt School District compete in the Championship as part of the District’s commitment to providing opportunities for students to excel in a variety of rigorous academic settings.

Roosevelt High School Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) students recently competed in the Second Brigade Academic/Leadership Championship, placing in the top three schools competing in the Northeast region. Each year students in the Roosevelt School District compete in the Championship as part of the District’s commitment to providing opportunities for students to excel in a variety of rigorous academic settings.

This year 115 schools in the Northeast region of the United States participated in the regional Academic/Leadership Championship, competing for the opportunity to make it to the national championship. In order to prepare themselves for the competition, Roosevelt High School students began practice at 6:30 a.m., pushing themselves to reach their goal of going from good to great.
