Roosevelt Honors Staff and Students at Superintendent’s Conference Day

Superintendent Dr. Shawn Wightman shares goals for the 2024-2025 school year

The Roosevelt School District recently united at Superintendent’s Conference Day to prepare for the year ahead and unite under this year’s theme, “together we rise.” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Shawn Wightman and the Roosevelt Board of Education also recognized returning staff and welcomed new teachers and staff members.

“Everyone in the Roosevelt School District is committed to working together to help our students succeed,” said Dr. Wightman. “Despite what challenges we might face, we can overcome them by working together towards our common goals. There is so much on the horizon at Roosevelt and I am confident in our shared success that lies ahead.”

Dr. Wightman discussed several new programs and resources the District will offer this year, including a course called Black and Latino History 365 and a new CTE program in electrical and HVAC certification.
