Elementary School Students and Staff Members Celebrate International Red Nose Day

Roosevelt School District students at Washington Rose Elementary School and their teacher don red noses to support children and young people living in poverty around the world. The students and staff members were participating in an international antipoverty campaign as part of a District initiative to help students be engaged in their community.
The Roosevelt School District’s Washington Rose Elementary School recently observed Red Nose Day, a campaign dedicated to raising money for children and young people living in poverty around the world. Students and staff members purchased foam red noses to wear throughout the day, raising money and donating the proceeds to help fight poverty. The students discussed ways they could become involved in helping people their age currently living in poverty.
