Roosevelt School District Wows Audiences with Production of Annie Jr.

Students from all five schools come together for two enchanting performances

Students from all five schools in the Roosevelt School District recently enchanted audiences with a captivating tale of hope and optimism during two nights of the Roosevelt Performing Arts’ spring production of Annie Jr. The cast of Annie Jr. included students in fourth through twelfth-grade across the district.

“Students from across all of our schools have been pouring their dedication, skills and energy into months of rehearsals and preparation for our spring production of Annie Jr.,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Deborah Wortham. “Their hard work was evident during two fabulous performances that enthralled the community. We filled our auditorium both nights and shared a beautiful weekend for the arts at Roosevelt.”

Annie Jr. follows the story of its charismatic title character Annie, who is given a chance to escape her “hard-knock” life at an orphanage and search for her parents when she’s invited to stay with an eccentric billionaire during the height of the Great Depression.
