Roosevelt Students Celebrate the Holidays at Rosa Parks Senior Center

Roosevelt Middle School students volunteer by serving meals and spreading joy ahead of the holidays

Roosevelt Middle School students in the Roosevelt School District recently rung in the holiday season by spreading joy and cheer at the Town of Hempstead Rosa Parks Senior Center in Roosevelt.

“We’re so proud of our young leaders for making a difference by lending a hand and bringing a smile to the faces of their community’s eldest members this holiday season,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Shawn Wightman. “It’s inspiring to know that our students shared community spirit and holiday cheer by giving back this winter.”

Students served meals at the senior center and performed festive songs and dances to entertain and celebrate the holidays with the seniors. Community spirit and holiday cheer were on full display throughout the day.
