Roosevelt Wrestling Hosts Third Annual Alumni Night

The Roosevelt School District recently welcomed alumni, friends and family to Roosevelt’s Wrestling’s third annual Alumni Night, during which the Rough Riders Varsity Wrestling team was triumphant against Valley Stream North High School with a final score of 45-23.

“Alumni night was a huge success! We had an awe-inspiring evening spent honoring the past, supporting the present and embracing the future with the Roosevelt community,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Shawn Wightman. “We thank everyone who joined us in celebrating Roosevelt’s legacy and strength.”

The night included a Varsity dual meet, at which Roosevelt was victorious, and Junior Varsity matches that showcased the future of Roosevelt wrestling. Alumni also received recognitions and gave speeches reminiscing on their time in the program.
