South Carolina Man Assaulted Clubgoer: Nassau Police

A South Carolina man was arrested Sunday night after police say he attacked a man outside of a club in Freeport.

According to police, at 7:40 p.m., a 24-year-old man got into a verbal argument with Joseph Gambuzza, 42, of South Carolina, outside of Tripix on the Mile, located at 395 Woodcleft Ave. in Freeport.

Police say Gambuzza kicked the man in the face and head numerous time, causing multiple injuries. The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police arrested Gambuzza a short time later without incident.

Gambuzza was charged with first-degree assault. He was already arraigned.
