Two Men Rob Woman, Then Drop What They Stole

BREAKING: The pair fled through the yard of a house and left everything they stole there.

Nassau police are searching for two men who robbed a woman in Freeport on Monday and then dropped everything they stole

According to detectives, the 53-year-old female victim was walking through parking lot 4 in the rear of 15 Broadway at 9:17 p.m. when she was approached from behind by two men that attempted to steal her handbag. The woman was thrown to the ground and the men stole her handbag, jewelry and cell phone.

The two men fled through the parking lot and jumped a fence behind 39 Harding Place. Stolen items were recovered in the rear yard of 39 Harding Place and returned. There were no reported injuries.

The first man is described as black, 20 years old, 5’11”, slim build, short afro wearing all black clothing.

The second man is described as black, 17 years old, 5’4”, medium build, short afro wearing all black clothing.
