Two Nassau Men Charged With 2016 Kidnapping, Assault
BREAKING: Police say the victim managed to escape the moving car on the Southern State and flee.

New York State Police arrested two men from Freeport following a nine-month long investigation into a kidnapping and assault that occurred last August.
According to police, Ramiek S. Jackson, 21, and Maurice Collins, 20, kidnapped a man and held him in the trunk of a car. The man managed to escape from the moving car on the eastbound Southern State Parkway near exit 36.
Jackson and Collins are both charged with second-degree kidnapping, first-degree unlawful imprisonment and second- and third-degree assault. Additionally, Jackson was charged with fourth-degree promoting prostitution.

Both men were arraigned at Nassau County Supreme Court. Jackson's bail was set at $250,000 and Collins's at $75,000.
