FREEPORT, NY — A car crashed into an electrical pole in Freeport. It happened on Sunday afternoon on Mill Road near Maple Avenue, in front of a Extra Space Storage location.

While police could not provide any details, photos show the collision caused downed wires. It also led to Mill Road being closed in both directions while work crews made the repairs.

There is no information on the condition of the driver.
