100s Of Illegal Fireworks Seized From Uniondale Dollar Store: Police

UNIONDALE, NY — A man was arrested on Wednesday night for selling illegal fireworks at a dollar store in Uniondale, police said.

Detectives found 486 fireworks items for sale near the cashier at the Uniondale 99 Cents Dollar Discount Store on Jerusalem Avenue, authorities said.

Mohammad Yousuf, 65 , of Uniondale, was charged with multiple explosive offenses under New York State Labor Law and he faces a count of unlawfully selling fireworks.

Yousuf was scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday in First District Court.
