16-Year-Old Boy Shot To Death In Nassau Parking Lot

Police say another 16-year-old was also shot, but survived. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to come forward.

A 16-year-old boy was killed, and another wounded, in a shooting in Hempstead Wednesday evening.

According to police, Hempstead Police Department officers responded to a call for two gunshot victims, both 16-year-old boys, in the rear parking lot of the Rivoli House apartments, located at 40 West Columbia St.

Both teens were taken to a nearby hospital, where one died from his injuries. The other teen had a non-life threatening would and is being treated. The identity of the two victims is being withheld at this time.

Police say the investigation is ongoing, and ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous, and you could receive a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.
