3 Teens Rob Taxi Driver In Nassau With Fake Gun: Police
The driver was robbed on Thursday night in Westbury, police said.
WESTBURY, NY — Three teenage boys were arrested for robbing a taxi driver in Westbury on Thursday night, police said.
The 72-year-old victim was dropping off them at a location on Old Country Road when one of the boys displayed what appeared to be a firearm. Cash was removed from the victim's pocket, authorities said.
The teenagers fled on foot. An investigation led to the arrest without incident. Their ages are 13, 13 and 15.

An imitation firearm was recovered from one of the suspects, police said.
The 15-year-old is charged with first-degree robbery and the mask transparency act, police said.

One 13-year-old is charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree menacing, police said. They are both scheduled for arraignment on Friday at First District Court.
The second 13-year-old is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a person under 16. He will be arraigned at Family Court, police said.
