3rd Murder Arrest Connected To Fatal Shooting Last April: Police

HEMPSTEAD, NY — A third person has been charged in connection to an April fatal shooting in Hempstead.

Milton Allen, 20, of Hempstead, faces a count of second-degree murder. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday.

During the overnight hours on April 1, Kimberly Midgette, 44, was shot on Polk Avenue. She died three days later, police said.

A second female victim was released from the hospital.

In November, Oumar Barry, 27, of Hempstead; and a 16-year-old male were charged with second-degree murder.
