5 Teens Steal Bike With BB Gun At Roosevelt Field: Police
After fleeing, the teens were arrested on robbery charges, police said.
EAST GARDEN CITY, NY — Five juveniles were arrested for a robbery outside Roosevelt Field Mall.
The male victim, 18, was approached by the five teens while retrieving his bicycle from the bike rack.
One juvenile, 13, threatened the victim with what appeared to be a black handgun, police said.

The five teens, all boys, fled the scene with the victim's bike. A short time later they were located and placed into custody, police said.
An investigation revealed the black handgun was a BB gun. All five juveniles were charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree robbery. A 13-year-old also faces a charge of criminal possession of a weapon. Four of the teens received appearance tickets to appear at Nassau County Family Court on Aug. 30.

The fifth juvenile, 14, was expected to be arraigned on Thursday.
