May 26:
GCPD responded to a report of a person leaving the scene during a car crash. An investigation revealed that the vehicle that left the scene was located, and a 37-year-old male Seaford resident was arrested and charged after leaving the scene of an auto accident with personal injury.
GCPD and GCFD responded to Franklin Ave. for an elevator stuck on the second floor with two people inside. The people were removed from the elevator without any injuries reported.
May 25:
Officers responded to a report of a solicitor doing door-to-door sales. Upon arrival, officers issued a 19-year-old male resident of Pennsylvania an appearance ticket.
GCPD stopped a vehicle traveling southbound on Franklin Ave. at 9th St. The investigation at the scene revealed that the out-of-state license plate on the vehicle belonged to a different vehicle. The vehicle was impounded, and four tickets were issued, including improper plates, unregistered vehicle, uninsured vehicle, and uninspected vehicle.
GCPD and GCFD responded to a Garden City residence for a carbon monoxide alarm. GCFD detected low-level carbon monoxide readings inside the home, which was then ventilated for safety. GCFD advised that the source of the carbon monoxide was unknown, but the residence was deemed safe for occupancy. No injuries were reported.
GCPD officers stopped a vehicle traveling northbound on Franklin Ave. at 9th St. for a suspended registration. The investigation at the scene revealed that the driver also had a suspended license. The vehicle was impounded, and four tickets were issued, including aggravated unlicensed operation and operation of a vehicle with a suspended registration.
May 24:
GCPD responded to a Garden City residence for a broken window and screen. A report was taken for second-degree criminal mischief.
GCPD officers conducted 'Buckle Up NY' seat belt enforcement Village-wide and issued six seat belt tickets.
May 23:
Officers responded to a report of a verbal dispute between a driver and a jogger. After the investigation revealed there was no criminality, both parties left the scene.

May 22:
GCPD received a call from an unknown person reporting he had three shooters and 25 pipe bombs placed at Roosevelt Field, which were set to go off in 30 minutes. NCPD was notified. GCPD Detective Division and patrol units responded and assisted NCPD in what turned out to be a false report.
Officers responded to a Garden City street for a report of a solicitor who works for a pesticide company. The solicitor was warned regarding the Village ordinance.
GCPD and GCFD responded to a report of an odor of gas. Investigation revealed a pierced gas line at the Garden City Country Club. National Grid was on the scene to address the situation.
GCPD and GCFD responded to a Garden City residence for a fire alarm, which was caused by a laundry machine motor smoking. The situation was corrected by the fire department.
May 21:
GCPD responded to several calls for weather-related traffic lights out and tree limbs down.
A Garden City resident reported an identity theft. He reported that an unknown person withdrew $16,950 from his Citibank account without his authorization.

May 20:
GCPD officers responded to a report of a tree down on Bluebell Ct. GC Parks and Recreation was notified and responded to remove the tree.
GCPD responded to four reports of vehicles that became disabled while driving through flooding conditions. All vehicles were removed from the roadway without incident.
